About Me

When they climbed out on shore, they saw a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you just caught.” So Simon Peter went over and dragged the net ashore full of one hundred fifty-three* large fish. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come, have breakfast.” And none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” because they realized it was the Lord. Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them, and in like manner the fish. This was now the third timeh Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead. John 21:9-14

Hi! I’m Father Pat Mulcahy and this is my cooking, baking, and barbecue blog. Keep in mind, I’m not a trained chef, but I am a trained home cook, having watched my mom, grandmothers, and many other members of my family cook my whole life long. Mom loved my cooking, especially in her last days when she could not cook, and was so proud that all three of her children learned to make the Sunday Gravy.

Cooking is definitely my love language, and I get a great deal of satisfaction cooking for my family, my rectory, and occasionally for events or sales at the parish.

I hope you’ll enjoy following and cooking along with me, and I’d love to see what you come up with after you make these recipes your own!
